Can I post a celebrity photo on my business website?
Can I post a celebrity photo on my business website?
I am a dog trainer. I have a picture with a celebrity ( Cesar Milan) that I would like to post on my website in with some photos of seminars I have taken. ( caption saying that he inspires me and that he is not sponsoring by business… ) The photo was taken by my camera at one of his seminars. Can I do this? is it legal?
Thanks!

I think it’s fine as long as you are sure to say he does not sponsor your website or specifically support your website
Give him a link, should be enough
I think it is legal since you own the photo, but I would also find a way to contact his PR people or him directly about his image being on your web site. I hope it works out for you!
You cannot imply that he endorses you or your business.
It might be a good idea to get his permission before posting the pictures, and include a disclosure that his image does not imply endorsement.
if it is your photo then it should be ok. you should check with them to make sure they ok with using it on your website.
if it is not you picture you need to asked the photographer and the celeb.
Not without getting their permision. Find there management agency and talk to them otherwise its illegal representation of a person ie endorsing your product and copyright of any pictures will also come into question
You cannot make public a photograph of anybody, famous or not, without his/her consent. If you have a picture which is already in the public domain, you can copy and paste that on whatever you want. You need to mention the source, though
