I work for a University that sends e-mails to prospective students. Sometimes there can be over 100 e-mails sent at one time. I am designing a new template to be used for these e-mails. How can I make sure that these e-mails do not get marked as spam? I can’t have our company gray listed as spammers. Is there a website where I can upload my HTML e-mails and it will tell me if hotmail, yahoo, aol, etc… will flag it as spam. I have done some research on keywords, phrases, links, etc.. that e-mail filters will look for. Anyone know of such a site? Just a little background info, the templates have linked images from the school’s websites so they are not very large e-mails. Any help would be appreciated.

I mostly want to know for a research paper I’m doing on drugs in suburban areas. So it would be extremely helpful if there was a website link I could check out. I did try searching it, but maybe I used the wrong keywords or something because I couldn’t find anything.

My task is: COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS: Create a list of 50 competitors in this market
based on the Google AdWords advertisers for the top keywords — take 5
companies (unique web sites) from each of the Top 10 keyword phrases
by volume (without duplicates.) -I’m done with this. My problem is this one:
Include a breakdown of the products each are selling and the prices.
Is there an easier way to collect them? Or is it applicable using Market Samurai? Thanks

I’m creating a Web Site and have been researching ways to improve traffic. I already know what key words will work well. (I’m kind of new at this, but I am learning.)
My question: Where’s the best place to put them? Should they be in the title? Should they be in the meta tags? Should they be in the document text? How about the underlined links?
Also, should I repeat the keywords many times or won’t that get me any more hits.
Thanks in advance for any and all responses. I do check back and give thumbs up for answers and choose the best one.

I am doing a research paper on the ethics of socialism vs. capitalism in the work place using Charles Dickens’ Hard Times as a reference. I want to compare the fact that people that work long hours at grueling jobs deserve more pay than the bossman ahead of them – or more a more modern and specific example could be a paramedic/fireman to an actor/singer. I am needing solid sources, mostly from books within the library, but I can’t seem to find a good keyword for it. I am sure its out there, so if you could help me with the word or some solid internet sources/books I would be more than grateful
ADDED: My paper isn’t on the boss vs. the common worker, that was the example in the book Hard Times. I am relating it to the the paramedic/laborer/factory worker to that of people who contribute nothing more to society than entertainment. Also, I am not really looking for an explanation, I just need keywords or sources to get information from. Thanks.

This is my first time writing a research paper. I am only allowed to use the website my teacher told me to go to. Sometimes when I search it tells me no results where found! If I find something similar to my search the experiments talked about are different from what I am suppose to find. XD I don’t know how to shorten my search to keywords without getting articles that are off topic. Any tips?

If you have created a commercial website from scratch then you have probably started with keyword research. This should be the first step of every online project. Your earnings will depend on the traffic, the visitors that will come to your website. The easiest and the cheapest way to get visitors is by having a website listed in search engine results. To get there you need to target keywords or search phrases that have low competition. But you also need to target keywords or search phrases with decent search volume.
Keyword research and selection is not simple. Many market niches already have huge competition–it is simply not possible to find keywords that have at least 100 daily searches and weak competition. On the other hand there are still micro niches with low competition where it is pretty easy to find profitable keywords.
If you analyze traffic sources of a successful commercial website you will find that majority of the visits come from search engines. This directly reflects how we use the web to find things. The importance of keywords becomes evident when you create a website without thinking about search engines. But keywords are not important only at the start of an online project.
It makes sense to track keywords or search queries that list your pages or bring visitors to your site. Search queries can be found in the Google Webmasters Tools where you can see average position of the page for each search phrase and the click through ratio (CTR) which tells how many users clicked on the link to your page. Another great source of keywords is Google Analytics which lists search queries that brought visitors to your pages.
By analyzing these search phrases you can discover keywords that were not found during initial analysis. Keyword parameters are not fixed. They change according to various changes on the market, user needs and many other factors that affect user behavior. Therefore it makes sense to periodically check possible target keywords. Usually dedicated SEO software is used for keyword research but by using data from Google Analytics and Google Webmasters Tools you can simplify this task. It is very likely that you will be able to optimize pages for new search phrases that already bring some traffic to your website. Instead of finding promising keywords that have good figures you start with keywords that already work.
Search engines are a very important part of the web. We use them to find things, but we can also use them so that other users will find our websites.
One of the best SEO tools with superb keyword research module is Market Samurai. It contains almost everything what internet marketer needs. Except hosting, of course.

I’m going to research in our university library because books are preferred but internet sites would do. The info I need is regarding the composition of the different volunteer groups (like their race, occupation, etc.).

I am working on a project that involves me researching for and cataloging news articles (some from print, but mainly from the internet) with the purpose of then creating a database/clearinghouse from which I can, when necessary, pull out quotes on certain topics.
So far I have just been using excel and created a spreadsheet with the basic info, and then reading through all of the articles to create a summary and 1-3 keywords so I can locate the articles in a search of the spreadsheet. The only problem is that this is extremely time consuming and often makes me want to pound my head on my desk. If I was just using one source or search engine, it probably wouldn’t be a problem, but I am all over the place with this thing.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a better way to do this? Any computer programs that might help make things easier?
Any and all constructive help is welcome!
Cheers!
