My husband has a marketing firm and he works will all type of business. So if you are starting out, from the business cards, to the website, logo and marketing. He is great! Let him know I told you. He will definitely work to help you out. Congrats on the jewelery business! His website is http://www.866print20.com. You can call him at 866print20.
You should definitely create an e-store. It is much better to have your own brand. Plus, the cost of creating an e-store is minimal (you can create one with less than $3/month).
Here is an article on how to create an e-store with minimal cost: http://www.businessever.com/onlinebusiness/build-online-store.html
I agree that you definitely need a web presence for your business. BoyBlu.net has an easy to use, low cost online store called Quick Shopping Cart. It allows you to accept PayPal and credit cards, offer multiple shipping options, issue coupons -all via your secure site. And there’s NO "percentage of sales" fee!
You should check it out. Here’s a direct link. http://www.securepaynet.net/gdshop/ecommerce/shopping-cart.asp?ci=1807&prog_id=BoyBlu
Good luck!
