How do I get an inexpensive website for my small business?
I just started a wedding/event planning company, and I want to have a simple website that looks nice and is rather inexpensive. I have heard of some people using word press or squarespace. I have absolutely no experience with building pages with dreamweaver or front page. Is there a program that I can go to to create a simply chic site for a limited amount of money?

Find a college student with html experience. For a domain + hosting account, get one at http://bizarre-host.com, it’s only $30 for a whole year and also enables you to serve database driven web pages through MySql and PHP (you don’t have to use it if you don’t want). I have been a customer with them for 5 years and they are wonderful. Again, find a college student to do the work.
Take a look at: http://www.threehosts.com/business
There you can reach the three reputable companies that are leaders in the E-commerce web hosting industry. They fulfill all your requirements to sell online. By using each of them, everything you need for your business website is provided in one eCommerce Hosting Package.
They offer easy-ro-uese tools to setup your website.
building a real website with .com or your domain name
is like having a physical store
3 steps you need to complete
1. find a physical store (find a server/virtual host)
you may rent or do it by yourself or but it
Rent-means you need "virtual host" (search engine can help you)
Do it by yourself – find a computer and set it as a server
2. put your commodities in your physical store (uploading your contents to server)
Web contents are placed to the server(photos or texts)
any function you need can install in this stage
3. name your physical store (domain name setting like http://www.tsmmc.com)
let visitors can link to your website by setting DNS server
you may set such server by yourself
try outsourcing of it – you will save a lot of time
I went to WeberMall.com to build my website http://webermall.com/ The prices are very very low and it’s easy to build your website (you don’t need to be a web designer or have any technical experience at all) I get lots inquiries by email and new clients online now. They offer help by email or phone but I don’t need it, its so easy to build your own website there.

I would use yahoo small business. they offer so much for a little price.
I do freelance websites and am currently in college for Web Design, so I do not charge as much as the bigdogs. If you like we can talk about features you are wanting on your site and set up a budget. My website isn’t completely finished yet but you can find some of my previous work at http://webrevive.net/contact.html
WordPress is a blog you can use blogger or tumblr (i think thats how its spelled) and there is tons more. Plenty of free templates for wordpress just may not be so customizable without html/css knowledge but you can add your logo and make pages.
Don’t get into DW or Frontpage (now called expression web) if you don’t know html.
I usually never recommend contacting online or somewhere not close to you to do web design because you still need to keep on track on what exactly is going on. Phone calls and the internet for now will never make up for human communication. Deal local.
I am a local web designer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida have an office. I handle graphics, web design, and ecommerce for small companies because I am one person so I do prefer smaller projects. I have an email in my profile.
