How do I set up a personal business website?
Once it is set up, how can I ensure people find it? And how do I report any income it may generate? I’m willing to spend a little bit of cash for a professional-looking site, and one that won’t be ignored by search engines, but I’m not corporate or a techie.

development is key, but you still have to advertsie the old fashined way unless you pay to get indexed and ranked. The way you develop ths site makes it more likely to be found by the search engines
Well it is not easy to start a business online but it is not hard too
u can publish your site in the forum and to your friends and it will be popular by that way
and ya if you want to get a good site you have to spend some money on it
and your site popularity depends on the site and what kind of business you are running out
Note:-about spending lots of money on your site (you won’t spend any thing) send me a mail at blood2_20032003@yahoo.com and I can help you alot about templates+scripts+for free ^_^
