How much should I charge for a custom made website for a small business?
I designed a website for a small business with about 8 pages. 40 pictures, etc. He wants a price quote and I dont know what to charge.

it depend on diffrent factors
1- the company that you design for small, meduim or large
2- your creativty in design .. dose your desgin look like ordinary web sites … or dose it unique ?
3- did your company ask you for spacific features .. or just nice web site ?
4- are you a local designer and u meet them .. or u just contact them on the net
5- dose your desgin composed of just HTML or XHTML and CSS
so if u answer all of this questoin u will could calculate your real fees ….. i think .. u could ask them for 100-150 $ will be ok

Standard rate for a 15-page corporate website in the NY-NJ-CT area is about $1200. There are companies that charge much more, and other companies that charge much less. But I would say that thats the median price.
I would say about $700 is a good price for that 8 page website you made. Sound good?
You could easily pass 1000.
10 page simple website cost $250
for a static website i normally charge 100$ and for those dynamic websites with forums, php interfaces, database thingies i charge higher depending on the fuctionalities they need.. but normally a medium sized dynamic website costs 500$
