how should i go about building a homemade bobcat/skidder/front loader for farm work?
i am inexperienced but willing to learn my dad is an excellent mechanic and is able to help me. i have a farm that needs some work and i would like to have a project to work on in my spare time i was wondering how i should go about building this machine, this includes; websites, articles, personal experiences, what tools and parts i need, how to go about it, etc many thanks in advance ![]()

Buy a machine that needs work, and it will be enough of a project for you.
Stick with a diesel machine they are much more reliable.
Hydraulic system parts alone can cost thousands.
It cost me around $2000 to rebuild my hydraulics alone, and that was half of what the local dealer wanted.Just parts doing ALL the labor myself.
