I would like to advertise my business website on Yahoo, how do I do this?
My business is an Escort Agency based in Yorkshire but covering all Yorkshire areas, including the whole of Lincolnshire, Manchester & Liverpool. I cater for both male and female tastes and on my website there are profiles and photographs of again both male and female escorts, their availability etc.

I don’t think you should advertise on web at all. The web advertising is based on clicks and people, even curosity seekers would be clicking on your listings just to see what you are doing. While you may have to bid about $5 /click to get a good position you might get a listing at 1 cent per click at obscure minor search engines and easily spend $100/day. Forget about major search Engines for this kind of budget.
Also there is no way most of the persons clicking would not be from your local area. In addition you may be accused of prostitution if you advertise to a wide population.
Why not have handouts printed and distributed by local help?

I would suggest doing research on using online adverstisment per se as your way to capture your market. It can be a costly method to use Google or Yahoo’s payper click service.
There are other ways to capture your desired market. I’d suggest locating websites and forums where your audience may be. Build relationships with these groups such, dating forum, singles forum and do forth. These can be geared for your area rather world wide.

CJ has some good points but dont listen to that other person. Of course you should be on the web. That is where your customers are. there are several ways to do this. Do not be scared away by cost per click on google or yahoo. It is not $5 per click. there are ways to get this done. Keyword research will be key to running a successful campaign. The main keywords will be expensive but there are thousands of search phrases a person might use to find your service. Exploit these lesser known less expensive keywords and google would be the place.
You must figure out your ROI ( Return On Investment). If you profit from it so what if it cost you to advertise. it is all about profit margin. Go to the site below and get information on how to successfully make your business run on search engines.
