I would like to learn the symbolism used in the graphic marketing, for logos creation.?
I would like to know if it’s existing rules or symbols communly used to express messages when we create logos, I have imagination, good creation skills and my logos are appreciated. But i read an article concerning a psychological study which connect shapes and colors to human feelings. For example a sphere or a cercle will create a calm feeling and express a "solution", that can be used for consulting companies. A ring express the "security" and can be used for network protection or alarm companies … etc…
I thank you all in advance

I am a graphic designer, and honestly, I’ve never come across anything that has all that information in one place. It’s a good thing to know, but usually I use my intuitive knowledge.
First of all, you should know that different cultures will have different symbols, and colors will be used differently in different countries. So whenever creating a logo, you need to take that into account. For instance – white in western civilizations is "pure" while in Japan it will be "death" or "mourning".
One thing I do before designing a logo, is ask people questions like "What does ‘security’ mean to you?" (if it’s for a security system). "How would you represent it visually?". You will get a surprisingly large number of good answers.
I think you might be able to get more information by reading about Semiotics, which is the study of signs.
An wonderful book that discusses colours and symbols and their impact on people is "The E-Myth Revisited" by Michael E Gerber.
