Is building your own computer ever cheaper?
I have gone onto tons of websites that let you build your own computer, and they always cost a lot more than they really should. Does anyone know of a website that lets you build your own computer but that still gives reasonable prices. I mean, come on, i built a computer and this sight said that i had to fork over 00 when i could get the same thing at best buy for 00.

It’s cheaper, but you’ve REALLY got to spend a lot of time doing research on hardware. Plus, you have to be able to flash the BIOS when you get your new motherboard, even before you install the operating system. So it takes a lot of know how.

yes , if you kown how to build it or your friends who know it !
of course it would be cheaper than buy one !
if you know how to put it together and install the software, then building is MUCH cheaper than buying….
They are like cars, the sum of the parts is more than buying the finished products, but you do get exactly what you want as well as the satisfaction of learning a whole bunch about computers.
If you just want an average computer or buy really cheap parts then you may as well not bother as the major computer assemblers can buy better parts for cheaper than you can.
An "off the shelf" computer with a good motherboard, a fast processor and room fo expansion can always be upgraded later with better parts, without breaking your wallet when you first get it.
No,best to get one already assembled and tested and with the OS installed and a warranty
