Should you create your own website for acting?
I get different responses. If I’m starting out in the acting field, do you need to create your own website highlighting your appearances, photo galleries, and resume?

You can, but I don’t think any responsible director, agent or casting agent would look at it. They would go though the traditional fields. Be VERY WARY of anybody who contacts you through the website. You don’t know who they are. They could make up phony credentials, and you wouldn’t know.
Not a good idea. Get an agent.
When you build up an impressive resume.
you’re publicst will do that for you.
Your agent must already have a website only available to casting directors and other agents. but not open to the public.
happy acting!
Well, make sure to have an off web portfolio and such. Like with your head shot and resume. But you could start a website. I would recommend a site at Imdb.com. Good Luck! And just be careful fo who you are auditioning for. If they are asking you for money up front, then don’t except. Becasue people scam.
