Hi, Ive been out of the computer game for a while but i remember in highschool playing around with MS frontpage, and dreamweaver…its 10 years later and my family has a private preschool and ive been tasked with designing the webpage. Im in healthcare now and have no creativity…I really dont want to make it SUPER flashy, just looking for a nice layout, maybe even a default one and then i can work on adding pizzazz….Just basic information, pics and pricing. I dont know which software to purchase, so any recommendations would be great! Something user friendly and good looking. Price is no problem either.
The second thing is can anyone think whether a "kid" look would be better, or a professional look? LIke adding bright colors and cute stuff, or making it just well formatted?…Kinda lost on this one. I know the kids themselves wont be surfing the site but maybe if we make it look "kidish" the parents of future clients can see how kid friendly their business is. Thanks alot, all input is welcome.

I have just about 10 years of experience in law enforcement as a police officer, field training officer, and probation officer. I also obtained a Masters in Strategic Leadership a few months ago. I’m interested in finding a teaching job while still working full-time as a Probation and Parole Officer. I’ve tried looking up monster.com and careerbuilder.com, but they always seem to come up short. I’m specifically interested in teaching in an online format with either blackboard or webct. Are there any locations that only post online teaching jobs? I was also wondering what the pay might be for a position such as this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve also looking locally at community colleges etc, but none are hiring at this time. How does one get a foot in the door?

I currently do things like accounts receivable, billing, cardlock billing, collections, I control all the networking and software purchases(but no formal training) answer phones, emails, all kinds of misc. projects, I do quite a bit of computer stuff for the Convenience stores. I have some college for accounting. I am looking into getting out of fuel business. I have been doing this for 10+ years and need something different.

I am a computer software test engineer, and in last 5 to 7 years have been assigned to job tasks that are less ‘technical’, or proprietary to my company . . i.e. related to specifically my company’s electronic business vs. for instance, Microsoft skills.

Is best path to go back to school, specific technical courses, or online self-training?

Am interested in others’ specific training plans, if they had to deal with same situation, please?

Was thinking of targeting Visual Studio 5.0, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server . . . is that a good starting place? I need to be able to program and maintain ‘test harness’ code, most likely in C#, and possibly write other test automation code.

Would prefer answers from computing/IT professionals who have been in industry longer than 10 years please?

A short time ago I went for an interview for my dream job. I have been on disability for 8 years and felt ready to go back to work if i could find the right job, this seemed perfect. I would work for a pet resort, I have over 10 years experience working with dogs, and have a service dog that helps me with my disability, I could easily take my dog to work without anyone looking twice, and spend my days working with dogs, dream job. I laid out my disability, explained how it worked and how I worked with it and knew how to manage it, showed the owner of the facility my dogs service tags and explained some of what he did to help me cope with my disability. I waited for 3 weeks for an answer.

She hired me, I was scheduled to start 2 weeks before the resort opened so schedules, hiring of general staff, training on computer software etc could be done before opening. The contractor building the place had a problem with paint crews and suddenly we were asked to paint rooms, then to move things etc, things that honestly, I could not do and she had known that when she hired me, I did my best for the first week. The beginnning of the following week I got an email telling me that she had thought alot about my disability and felt I couldn’t do the job she had hired me for and was firing me. I never even got to work one day doing what I was hired to do. I had already quit the part time job I had held for 3 years prior and my position there had been filled, I am now unemployed. I recieve a tiny disability check each month, not enough to live on (which was why I had a part time job) and in this economy as a disabled person, finding work is VERY hard. She stated clearly in her email firing me she was firing me because I was disabled, my family thinks I should get a lawyer, should I?

I have been fixing computers for over 10 years now.

I am a certified computer technician and have worked for Hewlett Packard reseller for over 3 years.

I am factory trained to repair majority of printing and computer equipment out today.

I would like to know what people are willing, or are comfortable in paying a good technician per hour.

I will be providing repair, maintenance, and training on software (To some older people in the area).

Is to per hour OK with majority of people?

Take into consideration I will come out to the house, you do not need to drag any equipment out to any store.

I am not a person to just "leave things alone"… But I have this ex-boyfriend which we were super serious. But we both split and got married and have kids. He has contacted me in the past and I have contacted him… We tried to be friends but he claims that he is too hurt by our past that he can’t just be my friend. His wife is super jealous of me and knows how many times him and I have made contact with one another! Well he acted like a complete baby and blamed everything on me. I thought it was a good idea to send him an email and claim that I died, (email from my sister) Well he said all these things, How i was the love of his life and blah blah blah… So like a year later I felt so bad for lying but I thought that was the only way to get over him. So i emailed him and told him the truth. I regret ever even contacting him in the first place. But his stupid wife has really pissed me off. She posted this question on here about me. So I googled her dumb a$$ to find out she has had like 3 paternity test done to see who the father of her kid is??? She is so fake and probably will never amount to anything in life, yet she wants to trash me??? I have been through hell with her so called husband, he has no idea what I went through and now thats its been 10 years later she wants to trash talk me…I am 1400 miles away and me commenting on a picture he posted on the internet, is not my fault you posted it!! I was being nice! Or creating a website with YOUR home address is not my fault… Don’t claim that I’m something that I’m not. I have never called they’re home when HE gave me they’re home number!!! I have been respectful of they’re married and only offered to make peace and move on.They are so stupid and horrible people! I SERIOUSLY cant stand them. will be hiring a web developer to create a system on my website that will allow members to do a certian a thing but do not want them to steal my idea. its a type of game thats not owned by anyone. like "hide and go seek" or "tag your it". i’ll use paypal as an example.lets say 10 years ago or however many years ago paypal first started that i was the one who came up with the whole concept of it. i knew what i wanted it to do,i knew how it would work but i didnt know how to make it. see, the concept of transfering money from one person to another has been around ever since money was invented but it had never been done on the net untill paypal was made (im sure paypal wasnt the first of its kind but for the sake of the question lets pretend it was) hopfully you might understand a little better. im not trying to keep anyone from doing it in person but just from doing it online. therefore i dont know if i would need to copyright my concept, the application or system that makes it all work.

my son is 10 years old and plays little league baseball, he is a good defensive player but his hitting is very on and off again. sometimes when he bats he hits it to the fence then the next time up he will hit a b looper to the pitcher or shortstop. i would like to know of the best video out there to help him be a more consistant hitter. any help on this would be appreciated
