If you belong to ANY Yahoo Group – be aware that Yahoo is now using "Web Beacons" to track the Internet navigation of every Yahoo user. It’s similar to cookies, but allows Yahoo to record every website And every group you visit -ANYWHERE- on the Internet, even when you’re Not connected to Yahoo.

To stop this privacy invasive surveillance, go to Yahoo’s updated privacy statement at:

http://info.yahoo.com/privacy/us/yahoo/webbeacons/details.html

If the link above doesn’t work go to keyword yahoo privacy.

About half-way down the page, in the section on cookies, you will See a link that says WEB BEACONS.
Looks like this…

Cookies
Yahoo! May set and access Yahoo! Cookies on your computer.
Yahoo! Lets other companies that show advertisements on some of our pages set and access their cookies on your computer. Other companies’ use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. Advertisers or other companies do not ve access to Yahoo!’s cookies.
Yahoo! Uses web beacons to access Yahoo! Cookies inside and outside our network of web sites and in connection with Yahoo! Products and services.

Click on the phrase "Web Beacons." On the page that opens, find a paragraph entitled "Outside the Yahoo Network."

In that section find a little "Click Here to Opt Out" link that Will let you "opt-out" of their snooping.
Looks like this…
Outside the Yahoo! Network
Yahoo! Uses web beacons to conduct research on behalf of certain partners on their web sites and also for auditing purposes.
Information recorded through these web beacons is used to report anonymous individual and/or aggregate information about Yahoo! Users to our partners. Aggregate information may include demographic and usage information. No personally identifiable information about you is shared with partners from this research.
When conducting research Yahoo!’s practice is to require our partners to disclosete presence of these web beacons on their pages in their privacy policies and state what choices are available to users regarding the collection and use of this information. You may choose to opt-out of Yahoo! Using this information for this research. Please click here to opt-out.

Be careful (!) NOT to click the button shown on the resulting ‘You have opted out successfully’ Page. It is a "Cancel Opt-out" button that, if clicked, will UNDO the opt-out. Be warned!>

Important:

Yahoo’s monitoring — and your ability to opt-out of it — is NOT user-specific.

It is MACHINE -and- BROWSER specific.

*** This means you will have to set the cookie to ‘Opt-out’ on – Every- computer and -every- browser you use to access Yahoo and the rest of the Internet.

I was reading an article online tonight about how marketing is now shifting to people putting advertisements on the side of their cars and companies paying those people to just drive around with their ad on the side of their cars. I wanted to know how I can get involved in a job like that and how I would even start out by doing that. Im hoping someone on here can help me and has some advice about what I should do or where I should go. Thanks for your help!

I have a question about sites such as Gamespot and IGN or Gamespy if you want… can anyone just start up a website and review the newest games like those guys do? Because if you can do that then im missing out on money big time.

I kow how to build websites, ive taught myself and ive become very good at it, im not just talking about Dreamweaver either, i mean Javascript, XML, HTML, CSS, XHTML all of that, Photoshop, browser scripting like JavaScript, serverside scripting etc etc.

So ive got that bit covered. Now the other part is that i write video game reviews for free and i do them really well, sometimes i think i should be doing it and getting something for doing it because i put a lot of work into it.

So my question is this, can i just go ahead and start up a video game review site, with me doing all of the work myself? Depending on how many people visit the site i could make money off of advertisements and links at the end of each review to buy that game you know? Surely it cant be that easy though can it? There’s got to be a catch somewhere… what do you think?
of course starting off would be really slow until you get a good amount of people visiting the site no one is going to want their advertisements on the site which means i wouldnt get paid for some time. But even as a hobby id do it but if i could make some money all the better.

My website is called "Snakeinalake Studios" (www.snakeinalake.com) and I recently just placed adsense ads to start earning some money, but it keeps showing advertisements about rodent infestation, anaconda snakes, lizard training book, etc. nothing related to my sites topic: Videgame development.
How can I make it so it shows advertisements for game developers, gamers, etc

I am to graduate next summer with an AA in Business Administration. I don’t exactly know what I want to do career-wise, but now I have taken an interest in more of design, marketing and advertising. Here is a list of jobs I am interested in:
-Developing/putting together the previews for up coming movies(like the little flashing clips that preview what the movie is about)
-designing the billboards/posters/advertisements for upcoming movies
-designing brochures for companies to allow them to market themselves.
-Designing the layout of web pages (not the script typing)
-Designing layouts of magazine covers/pages in the magazine/article layouts in magazines (like Cosmo does an article on Drew Barrymore and the inside has her photos and short quotes by her)

Could you please tell me what job I should be looking for to work up to that career, the average wage rate for the beginning job and what the wages are if that is my CAREER, if there is a specific degree for these careers. And also, what the normal work week is (i.e. Monday-Friday 8-5, Tuesday-Saturday 7-6, etc)

I really just need someone to point me in the right direction… or if you could help point me to the right person to talk to that will point me in the right direction, I’d appreciate it!
Thank you so much in advance!
I have never had any training in any of these fields. I know that I like creating the look of layouts- like when you use Power Point and make slides. I also love scrap booking. I just like the design part of it. I really don’t want to do a job that involves coding.

My idea is to get direct traffic to website that I own and social networking. and wanna business to promote on FACEBOOK is this possible? but I would be making it much more than an add, and I would be posting their advertisements, links, and promotions on all of my pages on facebook ."

Need to find a bunch of good advertisements for a college promotion class… any ideas?
By this I do NOT mean magazine covers, but paid ads inside

All of the advertisements, articles, billboards, etc. feature a conventional looking white couple who are adopting or fostering a child of another race (usually of African or Asian descent). Why is this the standard look of adoption?

Why not show an African American couple with a caucasian baby? Or an Asian couple with an Hispanic child? Even the pics of gay adoptive couples are typically white…how about a photo of a gay black couple going to an orphanage in Russia to pick up their adoptee?

I keep seeing advertisements about getting your refund right now from H & R Block, but there’s nothing on the website or in search engines. Does anyone know where I can get any information?

I just finished building my absensed website and I know Google is against certain types of advertising like spam emails, clicking on your own ads and trying to courage or deceive people to click on their ads. My main promotions is classifieds.I see other absense advertisements on some classified sites but I want to make sure.Do anyone know if this is okay and other ways to promote google absense besides google adwords.

I have been building play websites for months and now I feel like I should start working on a website that can bring in some money. I know what I want my website to look like and a user-friendly design like Freewebs would help to make this process go a little faster. Are there any sites out there user-friendly like Freewebs that allow advertisements like Adsense?

Thanks
