Does anyone know of any really good skeptic websites that debunk alien theories such as the pyramid theory?
I am constantly arguing with my boyfriend because he believes that everything is somehow tied to aliens. He genuinely believes that aliens built the pyramids, jesus was an alien, the mayans were aliens, everything in the bible was done by aliens, etc. He has even gone so far as to say that aliens created humans. I need someone besides myself to explain to him how nuts all of this is.
So, are we to believe that they came all the way from wherever, to build these structures for no reason and left no real evidence of thier being here. The people they visited…also left no record, no account of aliens being there except very loosely interpreted drawings? Meanwhile these beings have all this technology and they have nothing better to show us than how to move bricks?

If you can grow the straw to build your own home in a season, why don’t we use straw bale building more?

What are the advantages/disadvantages of this method of building?

Straw Bale Building is also Permaculture because:

You are auto sufficient in your own building materials: You grow the materials on your own land so there is less environmental damage/input: transport, mining, etc.

Straw and Mud are collected from homestead and the whole building will be returned to the homestead eventually. It uses natural materials that will return without trace when the building is no longer needed. Limits your personal environmental impact.

Whereas bricks production has many environmental costs including production, transport, environmental impact, CO2 production etc.

Relies on self reliance: The homesteader does not require special skills.

Resource use: It is using, a byproduct: ie an otherwise unused resource. Each resource should be used for as many functions within a system.
