Yahoo is ok but but is there a forum specifically forasking questions about building websites?
I want to learn how to build a website…completely from scratch. Is there an online course I can take or any courses at a community college or something? I don’t know anything about building websites at all so I would need it to teach me from the very basics.
I have no experience with building websites. I own the domain already and need to build a simple site. Can anyone recommend a very easy but good website do-it-yourself?
I’m a multimedia major but I have a strong programming background mostly hobbiest but with my business I have done websites for local businesses using asp.net and vb.net with ms sql also some php and my sql, almost have my associates degree and also have certs. in all microsoft office software including access, a few hardware ones nothing such as mcp, javascript, html certs. my work background besides my business background which is 2 years building websites has been running a security business which my father is the owner and also when I’m up for this job oppertunity I’ll have complete the police academy and hopefully will be enrolled for my ba in information systems security I have two buddies working for the company with there ba’s making around 50 g what should I expect to make……I also developed an application as well……..reason for job opening 
also with multimedia you also learn vb.net and asp.net and ms sql so thats more experience
I was thinking about 40 – 45 k is that to much????
Also, its in the state of Michigan as well…….near detroit area

1.) want to local stuff

I want to create a website that is multifunctional where I can sell homemade Merchandise and at the same time sort of be a place for teenagers to gossip about celebrities.. things like that.
I am no where near good at high-tech electronic stuff and building websites from scratch so if it’s really necessary can someone help me figure out the technical stuff, … how to get started…lol

I’m building websites for artists friends who will need to be able to change text and images periodically, but they don’t know anything about coding. Can I "lock" the code down somehow, so they can only mess with image tags and text, and not mess up the coding?
