I live in Maine and I am thinking about starting a website and selling a candy. It a family recipe and is very popular, I can’t tell you what it is, but it has the flavors of caramel.
What permits or licenses, certification, anything do I need to make this a business?

I have a small home business and created a website to offer products. I am looking for a great way to promote it and get additional business.
I have already used GOOGLE adwords and Yahoo’s similiar ad campaigns. Both can be extremely expensive as you have to bid for placement.
I have set up meta tags and come up decently in regular searches at times.
I want something that brings people to my site and really get me some business. Thanks to all who can help!
