Anyone know any recent Europe crisis involving individual rights. I read World War Z for AP Modern European History and have to write about a recent european invent that debates the importance of individual rights vs. security.

If anyone has read WWZ please feel free to input on how you think it ties into the book, because I plan on making connections but so far can’t see any from the book.

ANY event in Europe or involving all of europe or just a country involving this idea. Please be specific so I can do more research on it. You don’t have to be REALLY specific, but say which country, the topic of crisis, short summary maybe, and a name or keyword i can type in to search it on google or databases.

If you can’t provide all that, just try to say what the crisis you know of is, because I’m desperate as of now.

I wanted to start a blog/ informational site. I was curious as to how something like this could make money. I understand Google Adsense is one way.

Can you use Adsense with other banner programs?
Will search engine optimization bring in any direct money?
If I am not selling anything, is the only way to make money through advertising?

I run an embroidery digitizing business and would like to increase my customer base, I have already tried online advertising with many providers, such as Google Adwords, Yahoo and the likes.

Unfortunately nothing seems to work – I have done my own Search Engine Optimization – and even though my site is listed in the top 10 of Yahoo organic search, I have not been receiving any significant enquiries.

I also tried my hands on direct marketing, by mailing postcards – that doesn’t seem to work either and I might I add – its very expensive.

Besides, I reckon that most of the businesses involved in retail embroidery are still not using internet as a means of communication, sales or outsourcing.

I am planning on advertising in newspapers and the thing that I can’t seem to decide is that should I go for ‘Thrifty Nickels’ or ‘Penny Savers’ to get the most for my money.

The basic consideration is that the ads should have a longer shelf life and big circluation and inexpensive.

I simply want to see how my site is ranking in Google, Ask, Yahoo, and MSN. i don’t want to pay a fee for a huge report, nor do I want to be solicited for SE optimization. Just looking for a glimpse into how my site is performing with out having to scroll through endless pages to find it’s listing.
In Response to the post regarding googleranking.com – This is taken from their FAQ:

Q: I am a new user and don’t have an API Key yet. Can you still generate a new Googleâ„¢ Web Search API key for me?
A: No. The SOAP API program support is now limited to the system working with the existing keys.

I do not mind paying for quality. I want my sites to crawlable by search engines like google, and if possible I would like the plugin to do seo optimization

I have a site that has done great in the search engine results (top 5 most general term in yahoo, 1st page google) that has had no flash, just basic html and good optimization. I want to add some very basic flash nothing too fancy, will this affect my search engine placement? I guess what I am asking is, do search engines look at flash as a negitive in all or some cases?

How do I find out how many times something has been searched on Ebay. Something similar to Google’s keyword research tool:

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

My website is 2 weeks old, and I have enjoyed being the 3rd ‘hit’ on google uk for a particular (and very relevant!) search term. This has gone from position no. 3 to no. 781, a couple of days ago. My web hosting company submitted a ranking progress report twice within a week, because I upgraded my marketing package within this week, and they automatically do another one with each package. Google don’t like people (I didn’t even do it myself!) submitting ranking reports more than once a month. Have they responded to this by jettisoning me off the 3rd spot to the 781st for my keyword? I just don’t know what’s going on.

PS A lot of the stuff from my website is original (i’d say 60% of my own research)

PPS I kinda repeated a question, but was unspecific, as noted my answerers.
BenS>>>So the animal that is google will ‘forgive’ me?
hm062>>>>yeah but is this penalty permanent, or do they let you off after a while?

I have three websites right now and have tried some of the common marketing ideas to promote them. However, I may or may not be doing so properly because it seems that there is so little information out there geared toward complete novices. And, it seems that everyone has a different view of what works and what doesn’t.

I’ve tired (and as I said with limited knowledge of the accuracy of what I am doing):

Article marketing (provided by a service) – saw no major results if any at all.
Social networking – I do this myself with minimal if any results.
PPC campaigns through Google and Facebook – neither seem to produce any tangible results.
Link building – Some help in creating traffic, virtually zero help in producing customers.
Directory submissions – Very little impact.
Search engine submissions – Very little impact.

I cannot get any sort of grip on how to determine good keywords. All I find is vague information. Same thing when it comes to dealing with site maps and meta tags and titles.

Just assume I’ve come from some third-world country and have never had any concept of the Internet other than e-mail and browsing and that’s pretty much the point at which I need to be related to.

Can anybody actually tell me where or how I can find some beneficial info?

By the way, the websites are:

www.3riverscreative.com
www.twistedangels.net
www.jasongreiner.com
Thanks for the effort guys. While I don’t think very much of this will be particularly helpful for somebody in my situation, I do thank you for trying.

Link Popularity

http://bestseoservicespk.com/

When a Webmaster adds a link to one of the pages of your website, he is basically qualifying the fact that the content in your website is somehow related to the content on his website.

Also it is a claim that the visitors coming to his website can find additional information on the topic by going through your website. This is the fundamental fact of incoming links that most search engines recognize.

So basically, the relevancy and rankings that a search engine imparts to your website will depend a lot on the number, quality and relevancy of incoming links to your website. There are some very specific things that I mean by the three adjectives which I have used in the last statement.

Number: The more the number of incoming links to your website the more highly it will be ranked by a search engine. However when counting the number of incoming links you should almost always focus on the relevant and quality ones.
Relevance: The more relevant the links are the more value your site has in the eyes of search engines. Relevancy basically means that the incoming links comes from a web page, which has content, related to the content on your web page. So for example an incoming link to this tutorial is more relevant if it comes from a SEO oriented website, as opposed to from a website for online gaming.
Quality: One another criteria, which goes into rating incoming links, is the age of the links themselves and the age of the site which houses those links. By age, I mostly mean the time when the Search Engine has discovered the link. The older the website (which houses the incoming link) the more weight the link carries. Please note that this is something, which is used mostly in Google and has little effect for rankings on Yahoo and MSN.

However some caution is required while proceeding on a link building campaign for a website. There are sites which will allow you to ‘buy’ incoming links from them. This is usually a waste of time and resources and these links do little to boost the popularity of your site. This is due to the fact that these sites are mosty unrelated to the content of your website and hence such incoming links are not valued much by search engines.

Moreover, some of these sites are specifically set up for the purpose of providing huge numbers of inbound links to different sites. Such ‘link farms’ distort the natural democratic process of link building which is more based on content relevance and association rather than on an overtly economic interest. Infact some search engines like Google have started black listing such ‘link farms’ and sites which are associated with them. As a result, such methods might do you more harm than good by getting your site blacklisted from Google’s result pages.

There are still a lot of valid techniques you can use for link building. Read ahead and find out the best ways to boost link popularity of your site.

2. Site Optimization

Almost all Search Engines try to use a bit of natural language processing to understand the content of the website and related it to the search terms that they are fed with.. This association of keywords with websites is driven by keywords that appear at specific places in your website. For example:

Keywords that appear in the heading of a web page.
Words appearing in the link text of hyperlinks in a web page.
Words which are not common (like ‘a’, ‘the’ etc.) and which appear in high density in the sentences in the site.

I have been wondering and trying to test this. If you have a website with a Google calendar embedded on it, such as my website http://www.liverystable.net (Events) will the events on the calendar be visible to search engines?

For instance, if someone is searching for a Peter Campbell Horse Training Clinic in Olympia, Washington on March 14, 2008 will the google or yahoo search engines give them my website as a result? I realize my site would probably be listed on the umpteen-millionth page, depending on the popularity of the event searched for. But I have tried to test this, and they don’t seem visible. Which, for search engine optimization purposes, our Events listings would draw more traffic to our website if they were not set up on a Google calendar.

Am I correct? Or can you find events on a Google calendar by searching for them through popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo?

I need a little help with structuring my resume directed at law enforcement at the county/city level. I am just about done with my police academy (i’m pre-service) so my experience is not great. I have a bachelor’s in CJ and I have experience enforcing dog license laws in my county so i do have some relevant work history. How do i structure my resume? Objective always comes first, but then what? My work experience? Education? Certifications?

My current resume is as follows: Objective; Education/Qualifications; Work Experience; Certifications; Leadership. I list my academy training under "Education" and i do not include any of the certifications obtained from it because i included them in the "certifications" section. Is this appropriate?

This has to be specific to the law enforcement audience so please, only persons with good knowledge of law enforcement hiring answer this question. FYI, I already tried finding out online with no luck so do not tell me to "google" it. The resumes i found sucked and looked horrible.

THANK YOU!!!
Actually, in Michigan, quite a few departments use resumes as a tool to weed out applicants instead of wasting their time looking over long applications. I know that departments do not hire on resumes alone, i’ve filled out my fair share of detailed applications.
Thanks for not answering my question by the way. Both of your responses have nothing to do with my question.

I am a keyword researcher. Today when I am researching I got a keyword "face facebook". I shocked when I saw that 2520000000 people search this keyword per month in google. So, my question is why people search this question?
