I always laugh at it. I mean I am in that type of relationship but it’s funny how crazy society has gotten over being politically correct. It’s especially funny because I’m in marketing and have to practice this in my job. It annoys the hell out of me when I am told to replace a picture because it’s not PC enough. I’m in high school (oh no!) and I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to major in in college. I’m artistic, creative, and humourous, and thrive completely off being free-spirited. So, I’ve always been *extremely* wary of going after a career in anything related to business, or math. I destest math. I get (low) A’s in high-level classes, but it stabs at me violently inside.

I would totally go into some dead-end art career, but I want high pay. I know all about that "do-what-you-want" speech, but…let’s just say I’ve grown up feeling the pain of minimum wage, and I really want to rid myself of it once and for all.

Recently, just by chance, I came across an article about marketing. I cannot believe my eyes, because it is said that marketing…so math-related- and bland-sounding to me…is creative? Artistic, even?

I would really enjoy some real-time feedback on this. What’s a career in marketing like…is it really creative? Is there a ton of math? College… and would I live?

I remember seeing some hilarious marketing photographs of people playing the PS2, PS3 and other consoles. However, I’m not sure WHERE I’ve seen them.

Any ideas where I can look (specifically)? Any console, really, but I’m mostly interested in the Playstation or XBox. Wii is too easy.

Remember, I’m looking for pictures of PEOPLE playing the games, not just the video game screenshots.

I operate a small web design business with local small businesses as my target market. I have been working primarily on word-of-mouth business, however, this is not generating enough work to meet my needs. Where would you look to find a web designer? This will help me to consider where to invest my marketing attention.

I should add that in my community, many businesses are not online and the owners are not tech-savvy; understanding that a website is valuable, but would likely not look online to find somebody.

i also want to know what is wrong with the itunes library that this problem has occured. my ipod is 30gb. only 1gb of video files are their now. the marketing man told me that i can have 14 hrs video in it . now i can store only 1 gb. i want an answer

Ok i have a project for marketing and im kind of computer retarded lol. Uhh, have to find an example of an instant replay… thats easy just find a sports vid. But im not sure how you would record the video from the computer to a VHS tape or a CD. So my question is how can you record a vid from the computer to a VHS cassette/a CD (need answers to both please).

I have a diploma in Computer Systems, and one in digital media/game design. I’ve done some websites, a bit of graphics, video and audio editing, and Flash games.

I’m currently living in my hometown (I’m in Canada) attending college in Marketing/PR/Business, and really want to do Marketing or PR in the entertainment industry when I graduate in 2 years. However, the city I live in doesn’t have too many opportunities dealing with entertainment industry, and I’ve been doing research now on the companies I want to work for. I’m very willing to move too.

My question is how to I break into the industry in Marketing? Are there any websites (other than entertainmentcareers.net), networking events, volunteer opportunities, job fairs, newsletters, internships or anything that can get my foot in the door? or at least get myself some contacts? Or anything?

I appreciate it if anyone of you can help me out. This has always been a passion and a dream of mine that I want to achieve. Thx.
