ok i want to become a database developer and i have looked at the microsoft website and decided on a certification MCITP, to become an IT Database Developer, i have a degree in computer science, i have always been fascinated with databases. but then i enjoy working with MS ACCESS and have never worked with SQL SERVER

i need help finding learning materials, how much would it cost to go back to school for the certification, i am confused.

I am doing business – computer repair, website design, and variety types of training like Microsoft office training or computer training. Until now I have been doing those trainings without giving people any certifications, I mean certificates. I would like to start giving certifications, is this possible? My business is not registered to anything or something like that.

I have been working with computers for sometime now. (really since my freshman year in college). I have a certificate in Information Technology but, I havent been able to get a job in that field. I have helped other people with their computers and also I always upgrade and crashed (which i learned on just doing that on my computer). I do not have the "experience" of actually working for any computer company. I basically taught myself how to use and keep a computer up and running. I also took computer classes microsoft office, installed some hardware (hard drive and floppy) installed software, and installed operating systems. I do not know how to program a computer. but, I know how to make sure that its running smoothly. alot of people say I should go into I.T. but in Chicago, IL, alot of jobs are not really trying to train somebody to fix a computer. I have the skills to do but can not find a job to go with it. do I need to go back to school for more training? or what?

I’m a multimedia major but I have a strong programming background mostly hobbiest but with my business I have done websites for local businesses using asp.net and vb.net with ms sql also some php and my sql, almost have my associates degree and also have certs. in all microsoft office software including access, a few hardware ones nothing such as mcp, javascript, html certs. my work background besides my business background which is 2 years building websites has been running a security business which my father is the owner and also when I’m up for this job oppertunity I’ll have complete the police academy and hopefully will be enrolled for my ba in information systems security I have two buddies working for the company with there ba’s making around 50 g what should I expect to make……I also developed an application as well……..reason for job opening also with multimedia you also learn vb.net and asp.net and ms sql so thats more experience
I was thinking about 40 – 45 k is that to much????
Also, its in the state of Michigan as well…….near detroit area

I recently ran across a microsoft website that said if you had purchased a new computer within a certain set of dates, then you were eligible to get free products via mail in rebate. But, now I cannot find the website. Anyone know where it might be or anything about this promotion.

Hi, I am looking for highly recommended employee training providers for online training courses.
The training courses should be included:
Generic training course: Leadership, Communication, Project management skills, etc
Computer training courses: Microsoft office, MS project 2007, etc.
Engineering training courses: Autodesk products – ADT, Civil, Revit, Inventor, ACAD Mechanical and Electrical, Map, etc.

Since we are located in the Middle East, we prefer to have online training. However, if some courses need to be attended physically, they must be located in the Middle East Countries.

If anyone can recommend some providers, please let me know.

I am wondering if there are any decent online courses that would look good on my resume for computer technician work or something similar in that field.
I know that there are certain certifications that are required for Microsoft but not sure how to go about getting those.
I know a fair amount about hardware and software of Macs and PCs but want to take the knowledge further and get a job in the repair and maintainence area of computers.
So I am wondering what the best way of going about this is.

So I’ve thought about teaching Microsoft Office classes. I’m no expert, but I know there’s a lot of training out there (anyone want to recommend classes/conferences, please do). And I think I could be a good teacher/trainer. But I don’t know how you get "certified" to teach – or where you would even begin to look for jobs – I mean if you were looking at Corporate would you send your resume asking to be the computer trainer? Or is there a better "title". Also I’m not sure "computer trainer" is a valid term in the Occupational Outlook Handbook. Where else could I go to find out more about this "career path"?

Whats an easy website design program to easily build web pages??? Im building a wrestling website for a guy and he wants to get it up really quick, he wants a simple navigation at the top maybe a couple of rollovers etc., I used to use frontpage a long time ago when it was popular and was going to use it again b/c of how easy it is to use i esecially like that it would let u make simple rollover buttons within the program, but i’ve had training in making websites in fireworks and slicing them up and then exporting it into dreamweaver but I hate tables and that takes to much time, i was thinking maybe microsoft’s web expression’s would be simple but havent used it yet any suggestions??? Also he wants a couple photo gallery’s and easy way to make that from within the page?

Would Microsoft Netmeeting be the best thing to use? I want something that I can setup on my end, and my customer can login on their end and see me my mouse clicking and moving around on the screen. They will obviously need to have a speaker phone in order to hear me talking. Also, at the end of each lesson I want to somehow switch things around so I can see their mouse clicking and moving around on the screen.
That will allow me to quiz them and ensure they are doing the steps correctly.
