i will make my first minisite, but i don’t know how to began research keyword for my niche target.
Hi,
I have a website http://www.boyceweb.com which I have optimised for the keyword BoyceWeb. I do Web Design and SEO for a living and have my clients top of Google for their keywords yet I can’t seem to do it for my own!
On page factor wise, I have BoyceWeb in the domain, header, start of title, start of description and in ALT Tags. The site is itself is very optimised, clean URL’S, registered with Google and sitemap submitted. I am currently second for the keyword ‘BoyceWeb’ the website which is top is a family genealogy which is not optimised for ‘BoyceWeb’ indeed only on one page is that keyword even mentioned!
Although my site has only been up a few months the domain name is 7 years old and I know Google like Domain Age. I have been building niche relevant, authority backlinks to my website and I am updating my website content.
I have done my research behind the genealogy website and part from domain age and a few more PR 0 backlinks I outclass it from for the keyword ‘BoyceWeb’ so I do not understand why my website is not top for that keyword.
Can anyone else shed any light on this for me? Is it a case of patience? How long do you think it will take? Is there something else I can do?
I would really appreciate any feedback,
Many Thanks
Okay I think I finally have it down and just want to see if everyone out there agrees or not.
1) Find your niche
2) Create a list of keywords that people might use to find your site.
3) Research the list of possibilities and narrow down the list to use one or two keyword phrases that:
* Have Low Competition Rate
* How a decent Adsense Payout
4) Create a list of secondary keywords that are relevant to the site.
5) On front page use the "core" keyword in title tags, Meta tags, and sprinkle here and there within the body of the page.
6) Use the secondary set of relevant keywords to create post/pages but use the core keyword phrase in post/page title in variations like;
If my core keywords were "make money"
Use "make money online" for one post and then another be "make money with ebay"
7) Link each page to one another so that the spiders can crawl each page.
Have competition….(buddies) in my field setup one way anchor text links pointing to the post / page that has that anchor text within the title?
9) Wait until my search traffic has converted over to mainly organic traffic from search engines to avoid being smart priced.
Does this sound about right or am I missing something, or am I shooting straight?
Thanks for any advise…I’m getting ready to launch my site but before i start shooting into the dark I want to be sure I’m at least firing into the right direction. =)
Well, I’m new in internet marketing. I’m using plr articles but they are not cheap. Currently I’m looking for a plr article membership site which will enable me to download plr articles at a monthly fee. Please help.
P. S- I’m not looking for memberships that sends out random niche articles every month. I’m looking for sites where I can download whatever articles I want from their database. Thanks in advance
Link building is the key for an effective SEO campaign. This works best for PR and SERP. Always provide useful and relevant content in your websites niche as this will help in quality organic linking – sites will naturally link to your site once they see unique and helpful information in your site. Keep in mind that the more targeted backlinks you build for your site, the more likely it will bring in the right visitors that could make the conversions for better revenue. You do targeted link buidling for fast and long term traffic to your sites.
There are several ways to build links. Here are just some of the following:
Directory Submissions
Blog and Forum Postings
Social Bookmarking
Classified Ads
Article Marketing
Link Exchange (with relevant sites)
Link Baits
Etc. etc.
What are your thoughts? What kind of link building method do you use and how effective has it been?
I need some genuine insight and details on how you got STARTED to making that first or 0 on the Internet. What are some real genuine and HONEST ways of making money on the Internet?
Please, don’t be vague like create blogs or websites with unique interesting content and earn money through affiliate marketing or contextual advertising (Adsense, Adbrite, YPN, etc). I really want details on how YOU got STARTED to become successful making money on the Internet.
Please do not recommend me filling out surveys or PTC (Paid-to-Click) sites. You can hardly make any decent money out of FREE surveys which takes a good amount of time just to make a lousy dollar. Believe me. I have tried with several "top notch" sites like CashCrate and others. I do not want to go this route.
I want to make a decent living off of the Internet working full time even putting in 10 additional hours every week.
Where can I do keyword research and search volume research to come up with niche ideas for websites? Overture Keyword Tool no longer exists. I need a good free keyword tool besides Google’s Adwords keyword tool. I heard Google’s keyword tool really doesn’t give accurate results. What did you do to come up with your niche ideas?
I assume most Internet entrepreneurs make money through multiple streams of Internet incomes through affiliate marketing, contextual advertising, multiple websites (sometimes in mass quantity) domaining (buying & selling domain names), Forex investing. List other ideas as well.
Thank you. I would really appreciate your help.
Here are a number of ‘off page’ ways to help build up your site’s link popularity.
* Visit Websites and Blogs within Your Niche.
Visit other websites and blogs within your niche and leave relevant, useful comments. Many sites will allow you to leave a URL to your own site when leaving such comments. Don’t leave token comments just to get the backlink but rather leave helpful comments or praise that will help build your reputation in your niche. Some website will have a page of links to recommended sites. If so, request that a link to your site be included and be willing to do likewise in exchange.
* Social Bookmarking Sites (Digg, StumbleUpon, etc.).
You should join several of these sites and create entries in them for your website. Each of these entries will include a backlink to your site. Entries on Digg are often indexed within hours because of its highly dynamic content. However, entries on other sites may take a good deal longer.
* Social Networking Sites (Facebook, Myspace, etc.).
Consider joining Facebook , MySpace and other social networking sites. Create a page for yourself there and be liberal in describing yourself and what you do. These sites exist for this very reason, after all. Find and follow (or become friends) with others in your niche or that share common interest. Be sure to create backlinks to your website. Active participation in various groups and discussions is a great way to raise your profile and authority. Seek to be genuine and helpful. You goal on these networks is not just to build backlinks but to build a reputation as an authority in your area. As you develop a following you will also build traffic to your website.
* Forum marketing.
No doubt, there are a number of online communities dedicated to your subject of interest. Join several of them and begin participating in the forums. Most forums allow users a signature box in which you may place the URL of your web site. With each forum posting a backlink to your site will be created. Be aware that some sites flag forum comments as ‘nofollow’ that instruct search engines not to follow that link. This impacts your page rank negativley. Also, some forums will not allow obviously commercial backlinks and may ban the user from the forum. Be sensitive and know the rules of the forum. Consistent, genuine, helpful participation is the best way to develop a following in a forum
I am trying to do some article marketing in the self help niche. I chose self confidence creator by robert anthony as my product to promote. Anyway I tried joining the mailing list via my hoplink. I noticed in the emails that it has links back to the site to encourage sales. The emails don’t include my hoplink, will I still get commissions off the sales in the mailing list?
im making a blog. im new to blogging and confused. i am using the adowrds keyword tool to research my niche. i have a blog made with 6 pages of content. i picked out some of my keywords and plugged them into the keyword tool and found they have a nice cpc value, high search volume, and low competition. so now what do i do now? i see infot hat says you have to pay adwords but is that only if you are the compnay selling the products? i am just looking to advertise for others, not myself. i do not offer and product or service so i would not be paying right?
i see some sites where you set a price per click? what is that for? is that the price you will be paid or the price others will be paid? im so lost.
what do i do with the adwords code? is that for use when i type a sentence and insert the code for a link reference from a word in the sentence so its highlighted someway and when clicked the user will be directed to whatever site is advertising? ?
The genuine online homework help industry.
Online homework help industry is plagued by much the same factors as most other online mainstream online industries.
But worse – because the online academic industry does not seem to require any benchmarks or yardstick for quality purposes, and any creature, dim or not, that recalls what he read last in grade 7th with a fair bit of chutzpah in soul – lands online upon a tutoring website – to TEACH!
But quality resources do exist – for someone willing to seek them, and dedicating enough time to finding what a blog or website really is about.
A new quirky website recently caught my eye: http://oxenmine.com offering homework help.
Just about nothing upon this website seemed ordinary to me. So I applied my seven quality check to it, to really understand how they worked and form an idea of them.
1.Attitude: The attitude in the written matter is everything. It tells you if there is an owner actively, constantly gardening or if the website is a link farm or even a scam site with third grade content. From the moment I read their header slogan, I started to look into the soul of the website – it was well thought out. So was the matter – relevant, written by someone who knew what they were writing or selling.
2.Theme: There was a theme to the website. That indicates a strong will to charge ahead, and make a niche for one self’s in the vast pool of third grade websites. You need it too, if you want to stand out. I don’t think Im forgetting the home page of http://oxenmine.com.
3.Technology – Opposed to the millions of static html websites you will find on oxenMINE usage of dynamic content, most up to date gadgets and widgets. Its primarily set out to be a blog – and makes for a good one.
4.Links – yeah, the part most good websites falter. A website like a man is known by the company he keeps – there are links to some very nice websites from the homepage itself! There’s a wonderul citation source and links to a great mathematical tool – they even load a calculator for you!
5.SERVICE: Where there is humor there is confidence and I was already sold out. Now this one bowled me over. The light humored ambience percolates to the conversation they engage you in even via email. The service was punctual – though I thought it was a tad pricy, but for what you are getting I think its fair deal.
6.Original Content: What you probably realized is oxenMINE do not keep databases like other big companies do. They make sure what you get from them is new, fresh and relevant to the 21st century – not some repeatedly sold junk.
7.AWESOME customer service: This one sure will keep bringing me back.
I urge anyone who requires customized homework solutions to check out this fantastic website, http://oxenMINE.com
They even offer a forum for free homework help here – http://oxenmine.com/freemilk/
OK i have had this idea on my mind for some time now there maybe a few hiccups ….. but i am sure with a little input from others this could be a viable online business.
Here is the gist of the idea , I am sure most have heard of Hub Pages and how you can earn money by writing informative Hubs. I am thinking of creating an account but not for myself but for a group of people say 5 at the most, each one will be allocated a specific job to do in order to optimize each Hub …they are as follows:
1 Someone to write each Hub
2 Someone to do Keyword Research.
3 And someone to write articles for back links.
If need be we can rotate on each job.
Now i guess the most important thing here is TRUST because all three will have access to the Hub account and Google ad-sense account as well as the distribution of the income that is made.
But the big picture here is to create a business in which we start to create niche sites and super sites. Hey it’s just something i had to get off my chest a don’t blame anyone if they think this is a bit too far fetched that’s why i am hoping that someone might be able to fine tune this business idea for me or give some valuable input. Please email if interested and share your thoughts.
1) Find a niche or topic
2) Find keywords for the niche or topic
3) Research the keywords for daily searches and websites currently competing for those keyword/s.
4) Research the competition currently ranking for those keywords to check their SEO armor, site structure, links, etc.
5) Create the site around the keyword phrase and do all the SEO things that the competition is and isn’t doing to out rank them in the search engines.
Sound about right???? Thanks for your help…please be as specific as possible if this isn’t correct and as to why…thanks…
I have a few website Im trying to make but cant find any ways to get content for the niche of my site. One is sports and entertainment the other is just what I do. can someone help me get content for my websites?
I’m about to launch a classified website
My business adviser is through the enterprise but he is not an (IT) expert
I have purchased the domain name for my classified site with go daddy and the site is about ready to upload to the servers, I was wondering if anyone can kindly offer me some help on how to make a good amount of income from this website and how to best market it etc.
I have a Google Adsense account, plus Bidvertiser and I’m now an affiliate for commission junction and Clickbank.I am willing to join any other affiliates ppc advertising etc to enhance/boost revenue.
I have already seen leads in my cj account from another website I have that is a niche community site that has been going for just over a year and has 765 members to date. Its kind of like a mini Myspace/Faceparty with the option for members to upgrade their accounts to premium.profile uploading, pictures videos blogs etc
I am very enthusiastic flexible and learn quickly.
Below is a link of the sort of website I am going to launch
http://www.shoofi-mafi.com/en/index.php
Obviously my site will be for midlands (uk) members but the above link is an idea of how the site should look and feel.
I shall also be adding forums for members to interact more and so enables me to build up an email database for newsletters
I shall be offering incentives to advertise by way of cash prizes this way hopefully boosting my traffic to the site
I’m fed up of trying to search for IT help just to be told to click on links to peoples sites which is obviously in hope that you will click their ppc adverts or buy an expensive ebook from them and gain them money.
Please could someone train and mentor me to success, (IF) I can only make a small amount of money from this one site I am prepared to copy the idea to other areas of the UK to gain more revenue.the sky is the limit
Thanks for reading this article and please buzz me for advice and if you would like to be my mentor.
I look forward to hearing from you savvy clever IT folk in helping me on this journey
Does anyone know if its possible to make a reasonable living just off one or two of these types of websites if the marketing is done correctly etc
thank you for your time
Kind regards
ok. to all the people commenting that are leaving links to their sites please stop!!
look at this section here i wrote in my original message
I’m fed up of trying to search for IT help just to be told to click on links to peoples sites which is obviously in hope that you will click their ppc adverts or buy an expensive ebook from them and gain them money.
And i am truly fed up with this!!
let me explain again the sort of answers i would like,
very simple this!
i would like someone to say for example, " ok listen if you go here and grab a bit of code from this affiliate then put it here in your website and generate traffic you will make x amount"
not just random links to peoples sites making money from adsense and their own affailate sites.
i hope this is clear enough.
i would like to know info on places such as e-business club and other sites that offer free advice and do not ask you to get your credit card out at the end of the blog/forum landing page etc. thank you..
i have also tried the spiderweb and it is not for me because they do actually ask for money to buy a domain and basically unless you do there is not much chance of making any money
i am doing my own website but it is only for one area and not globally, its a classified site for the midlands area, no point in people posting info and adverts from usa because it is too far away etc.
plus i would like to avoid scams so if anyone can give advice there,
please help in these questions i have posted
thanks
