Just starting out and need to know the basics that every photographer needs to know. I’ve taken pictures with point and shoots for years, but want to advance.
Needs to have photography terms and instructions for all aspects of photography… from which lenses to use for certain photos to cleaning the lenses (and everything in between).

I don’t need to sell anything from the website, it’s just for informational purposes (with things like our pricing, some photos, descriptions of services, etc).
I had a website in the 90s that I wrote myself in HTML. I’m assuming website creation is much different/simpler nowadays. At least I hope it is, because that wasn’t fun!

I’m starting a photography business, and want to make a website showcasing my photos and also give a little information about what services I can offer. I don’t know how to design a nice website or anything, so whats the best way should go about this? Would you recommend any programs? Should i use a free website subdomain type of thing, or get it professionally designed? Whatsthe best way to go about starting a photography business site?
I don’t have a DSLR, therefore my photos aren’t that spectacular, mostly because I can’t get that much control on the settings with a point and shoot. I really want to become a photographer one day, so I was just wondering if Flickr is a good website to start to add pictures that can be discovered by people and get feedback and advice from professional photographers. I’m building a contracting website for my father and we have many photos of various houses that have been built. I would like to make a slide show that simply changes from photo to photo after appx. 5 seconds. I want it to be like the slide show on www.kbhomes.com. Thanks!

In early November my girlfriend and I went to Absinthe in Greenbelt during our stay in Makati City. A man there took some very nice pictures of us for promotion and gave us the website and in my drunken stupor I lost the piece of paper. I would like to recover those pictures of us if anyone knows where they post their promotional photos? Before the rude answers come rolling in, Yes, I checked in Google.
I would like to build a website for my photography. I am doing my first weddings this year. Also I have photos that are sellable. My website is for my Licensed Childcare Center. In order to protect the photgraphs of the children that I put on the site, I would like to disable the right click function so photos cannot be copied or saved. I know it is possible to do this on other site building websites, but I cannot figure out how to accomplish this task on my Site Solutions site.
I just was reading google on the shooter from Canada and they mentioned he was on vampirefreaks.com and thats where th press found his "trenchcoat mafiaesqe photos and his profile of self hate and attention seeking underworld ways. So is the mention of the website gonna find its way into homes of other lost youth of D&D and all things black? What do you think o fthis whole situation?

Create a flash site that gives people the option of uploading their pictures to it and, once the upload is complete, have the site immediately display the photos inside its flash interface
Also, would additional steps or equipment be needed to support the site if the quantity of saved uploaded files becomes too much? Are there hosts that specialize in high volume websites?
The website is basically for information purposes only (price listings, photos, etc). I don’t need any functionality for selling products, forums, etc.

i have a dell computer that does not have a photobooth like the macs’. is there a website to take photos like that or just take photos in general?
I saw a promotion online somewhere stating there is a website where you can do the following:
1) Create a time line with photos of two people who love each other
2) Enter information about the relationship for the photos and dates that events happened
