I want to know more about making my website on top in any seach engine sites! i.e. Google, askjeeves, MSN live, Yahoo, etc.. Also, is there any reasonable short course to study? Thanks in advance to your answers!

I work for a University that sends e-mails to prospective students. Sometimes there can be over 100 e-mails sent at one time. I am designing a new template to be used for these e-mails. How can I make sure that these e-mails do not get marked as spam? I can’t have our company gray listed as spammers. Is there a website where I can upload my HTML e-mails and it will tell me if hotmail, yahoo, aol, etc… will flag it as spam. I have done some research on keywords, phrases, links, etc.. that e-mail filters will look for. Anyone know of such a site? Just a little background info, the templates have linked images from the school’s websites so they are not very large e-mails. Any help would be appreciated.

I created a professional website/logo design business. I created the website but I feel something is missing and I don’t know what. I’ve built a flash website. But I can’t upload it using the yahoo file manager because the yahoo file manager says I can’t upload files larger than 5mb. This flash file is a lot larger than that. Can I upload it using a different ftp program like filezilla?

I know how to code quite effectively from a cosmetic and organizational standpoint. basically just simple HTML mixed with decent photoshop and flash skills…..although php has been troublesome for me but as for now I don’t want to bother with that……
But what I’m wondering about is a few things………
– how can I get a website that allows me to upload via ftp INSTEAD of having to punch the HTML into an already built in site wizard thingy??
– how can I get a website that it’s URL looks like "www.yournamehere.com"(or .net! I don’t care as long as it’s NOT one of those stupid ones like .tk) as opposed to "http://yournamehere.geocities.com/randomness/poopy/whatever.okjjsd980qbugwiubf+/OMFG!!.php"
(neither of those links are real so don’t click on them, I can’t help it if yahoo auto URL’s everything with .com infront of it!! lol
– how much does it usually cost??
– what are the most reliable sites to do this at?
– how much does bandwidth cost (if it even costs anything)?
