What are the skills that I need to run a website business?
I want to launch a commercial website to earn money I know how to launch a website but don’t know how to get advertisements from companies and there are many more things that we need to run a website successfully do I need to do any kind of job to take experience from job or do I need to hire staff for it. Please help thanks.

These will depend upon the scope of the online business, the type of site and whether it is hosted in-house or by an ISP. They may include:
- Technical skills – to ensure the website stays operational and is fully secure.
- Website design and maintenance skills – to develop or upgrade the site on a regular basis.
- e-marketing skills – to ensure that the site is ranked highly by Internet search engines and is easy for customers to find.
- Admin and customer service skills – to respond to customer enquiries, orders and feedback promptly and appropriately.
- Management skills – to take account of the legal responsibilities related to operating online, to identify opportunities for improvements and future developments, to ensure staff are well-trained, resourced and capable of coping with the additional and different demands received.
I would suggest learning a basic web-programming language like html, that will help a lot. If you do not wish to do this however, you can get around it. Simply host your website with a provider such as Godaddy.com that makes it easy for you to create and edit your site by yourself. Also, if you decide to make this a very large endeavor, and you do not know much about programming, I would definitely hire personnel, at least a programmer.
Also, if possible, find and take a webmastering course.
